The Story of New Hope Ministry Resources
Paul and Jane Smith - Founders of New Hope Ministries
Their first ministry together was at a low income apartment complex in 1994. They ministered to people they thought were just poor and needy, but they later found out that the cause of their poverty was drug and alcohol addiction. It was while ministering to the many families in this complex that Paul and Jane learned to work with people in bondage to undesirable behaviors like drugs and alcohol.
This is the story of how New Hope Restoration
Ministries has developed.

Relationship Evangelism - The Farming Method
A very successful method of reaching neighborhoods has grown out of the New Hope experience. While we were ministering in the Villa Capri Apartments we began to "farm" the other complexes around us. By farming I mean a method of reaching a neighborhood
by being in the community visiting and ministering on a daily basis.
After a few weeks we begin to build relationships with people who look forward to our weekly visits. This method is taught today in churches across America.
Daily God Walk
Early in his adult life Paul realized that in order to have a consistent faith walk he would have to establish a daily devotional life. When he and Jane began the New Hope Community project they realized that these people who were new believers in Christ needed help in developing their own personal daily devotional time.
The devotional Daily God Walk, a monthly publication is the answer to providing a resource for a daily devotional.
They are in their sixth year of publishing the Daily God Walk (2013) and have this year added a new addition to the book. Now there is a special Study Guide Edition available.
The Study Guide Edition a guide for discussion and reflection that follows each daily devotion. There is a two fold purpose for this. First it provides material for reflection and meditation and an opportunity for the reader to write their thoughts. Secondly, it provides a format for small group meeting.
Hope For Haiti Now
While attending a missions conference in the fall of 2002 Paul and Jane felt God speak to them about working with Missionary Bob Jones in Haiti. Hope For Haiti Now, a ministry with a vision to feed children and help support pastors in this impoverished nation, has grown out of that call.
To date we are feeding about 250 children and have dug two wells. We have also built a kitchen and toilet to facilitate the feeding program at Bob Jones' mission, The Royal Palms Children Home.
New Hope Restoration Ministries (NHRM) was born from a servants heart After travelling across America and ministering to many congregations we discovered a common thread among the believers we met.
First, there is a strong desire to reach their community.
Second, many believers feel inadequate because of their lack of effective training.
The third thing we found was that many believers were still dealing with personal behaviors that kept them from experiencing God's best for their lives.
God began to build in our heart a desire to help people across America discover new freedom in Christ and become equipped to serve in their area of gifting. NHRM has grown out of this God given
desire.
Today Jane and Paul Smith have taken New Hope Restoration Ministries to a new level as they travel across America visiting congregations Teaching the farming method of evangelism in their Relationship Evangelism Seminars. They also teach seminars on restoration using the God Walk - A Journey of Faith materials Paul has developed. They are also active in the Hope For Haiti Now mission project they founded.
New Hope Community Outreach Church
In September 2013 Paul and Jane planted a new church in Lucerne, Ca.
The church is founded on the principles of Relationship Evangelism and God Walk - A Journey of Faith.
That church evolved into a truly community outreach ministry. In March of 2013 they began to serve coffee and a muffin in the park. That led to what is now called "Church in the Park," and around 50 people come for outdoor worship every Sunday.
